Controls and Compliance Director (Africa)
GRS are currently working on behalf of a FTSE 100 international consumer goods company to find an interim Controls and Compliance Director to join their African business. The organisation is very entrepreneurial and they are looking for a individual who can engage stakeholders throughout the international business. The objectives set for the successful candidate will include being able to demonstrate the ability to drive and achieve controls assurance and risk management frameworks in an international business. Develop and agree clear strategic objectives and measures to be assessed as “best in class” for compliance and control. Implement a process to assess and monitor progress towards these objectives. Ensure effective management and resolution of all compliance and control issues across the African business. Ensure that the market and hub controls assurance and risk management assessments provide a robust, consistent and accurate assessment of the control environment. Define, implement and manage effective and efficient compliance and control governance processes that are aligned to the governance infrastructure. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:- Professional Qualification or equivalent experience in ACA or MBA- Extensive business experience gained through a combination of auditing/consultancy within a multi-national corporate environment- FMCG/Consultancy experience- Risk Management Techniques- Internal/External Audit/Compliance experience- Business Consulting- Experience in multicultural environments- Language skills- preferably African or French.
