Senior In-house Solicitor
| A leading national insurer is currently recruiting for two roles within their legal department at the mid to senior level. Working as part of a small, close-knit team, the role will also provide you with the opportunity to take an integral role in core business functions. Legal duties will include: - | · Dealing with compliance/ regulatory matters including ICOBS· Internal audit and risk management· Dealing with various contractual matters including; distribution, affinity, terms of business, appointed representatives, binding authorities, services, outsourcing, broker funding, licensing · Advising the business on data protection and competition issues
| In addition to the legal aspect of the role, you will also have a real opportunity to interface with the commercial functions, acting as a business advisor, rather than a purely legal one. The size of the team means you get real hands on experience and will pay a pivotal role within the company. |
Successful candidates are likely to have at least 3 years’ experience in general insurance, coming either from an in-house or a private practice background. Experience of FSA regulation and practice is essential whilst knowledge of data protection and competition would be an advantage. |
