Transfer Pricing Manager/Director

Our client’s Tax Department is a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary tax practice that serves major multinational corporations, international and local, and high net-worth individuals. They have been recognized as one of the premier tax practices in China.

Responsibilities:
  • Work independently and lead a team in the respective office/region on major Transfer Pricing projects;
  • Participate in all aspects of Transfer Pricing engagements from the planning work to the implementation, including delegating and reviewing work of subordinates, managing member's workload and mentoring;
  • Assist partners in developing, mentoring and training Transfer Pricing staff in the respective office/region;
  • Deliver high quality Transfer Pricing services to multinational and Chinese based clients;
  • Establish relationships with clients, Deloitte global/China network and service lines to market Transfer Pricing services; and
  • Profile Transfer Pricing in the Chinese market through thought leadership such as articles, seminars, etc; and
  • Be actively involved in all marketing and sales initiatives.
 Requirements:
  • Degree holders in accounting, law, finance, economics or related disciplines, having full membership with a recognized professional body. PhD in Economics will be considered as a definite advantage;
  • For Senior Manager, minimum of 5 years relevant experience with an international accounting firm, tax bureau and / or industry;
  • Excellent business sense and marketing skills;
  • Understanding of how to manage client relationships, acquire and build them and further expand;
  • Excellent project management;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with an analytical and innovative mind;
  • Culturally open and sensitive;
  • Good command of spoken and written English. Chinese reading and spoken skills are required (Mandarin spoken in Shanghai); and
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which are reflected by the ability to motivate a team and manage people.
