GRS set to take a bite out of the big apple

GRS, the international recruitment consultancy, continues its global expansion with the opening of a new office in New York today.  The office will focus on senior recruitment within GRS’s core markets – Risk and Legal.  The move into the US market is to be spear-headed by GRS Director Dan Chester and Clare Capon. This significant move for the group follows openings in Munich and Hong Kong in the last 12 months.

Chester co-founded GRS in 2002 with Richard Paisley, since when the group has grown rapidly based on its focus of deep industry knowledge and tailored customer service. Earlier this year GRS recruited Ken Brotherston (formerly Chairman of Morgan McKinley) as CEO, a hire which has enabled the business to accelerate its international development.

Clare Capon has headed up the Risk division at GRS for several years, the core around which much of the success of the firm has been founded. Her move to New York is equal testament to the commitment GRS is making to the US market.

Dan Chester said: “New York City has always been in the plan, and is a natural response to our clients’ demands. This is a long-term move for GRS and our specialist focus and expertise will enable us to add real value to our clients in the US.”

Ken Brotherston, CEO, said: “Wall Street is one of the "command centres" for the world economy; in terms of daily trading volume and overall market capitalization, the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ are the world's first and second largest stock exchanges respectively. It’s a natural development for GRS. Our approach of deep functional and market knowledge which is so rare in search consultancies, will hold us in good stead in New York.
